Veterans Health Local Resource Guide-Support Groups

Many veterans find Support Groups to be a helpful way of connecting with others, reducing isolation and finding support with other service members who understand:

Veterans to Veterans Weekly Support Group: Led by Doug Null, retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant and Certified Trauma-Informed Coach. This free meeting take place each Wednesday from 2pm-4pm at the Moore County Senior Enrichment Center, 8040 US-15, West End, NC 27376. 910-947-4483.

Wounded Warrior Project: Provides peer support groups across the country in order to bring the veteran community together. 888-997-2586, resourcecenter@ woundedwarriorproject.org

Vet Call Center is available 24-7 at 1-877-WAR-VETS (927-8387). A confidential call center where combat veterans and their families can call to talk about their military experience or any other issue they are facing in their readjustment to civilian life. The staff is comprised of combat Veterans from several eras as well as families members of combat Veterans. This benefit is prepaid through the Veteran’s military service.
